CreuTech was commissioned by Wellbeing Monitor, along side the architects at CAUKIN Studio, to prototype a multiplayer virtual walkthrough of their innovative Wellbeing Pods, designed to support staff and patient wellbeing across the NHS. The project formed part of the SBRI Healthcare programme, developed in collaboration with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
Our role was to visualise the pods in an immersive, explorable way so that stakeholders, healthcare professionals and the wider public could better understand the concept. We created a shared virtual experience that allowed multiple users to step inside the pods together and explore how the design could work in practice.
To test the prototype, we took it out into the real world, showcasing the walkthrough at the National Eisteddfod inside the NHS booth. Members of the public, patients and staff had the chance to try it for themselves, offering feedback and helping shape the next stage of development.
The response was hugely positive. People valued the chance to step inside the idea before it was built, and the interactive format opened up conversations about wellbeing in healthcare in a way that was engaging and accessible.
For CreuTech, this project highlighted the role immersive technology can play in healthcare innovation, not only as a tool for design and communication, but as a way to involve the public in shaping future services.
